First a Melody, Then a Result

How does OTICHECK work?

Turn on OTICHECK.
Select the ear tip appropriate for the age of the person being tested.
Place the detector at the entrance to the ear canal without pushing it in.
Press the center button. OTICHECK will emit a simple, harmless melody for 2 seconds.
At the same time, OTICHECK analyzes the ear’s acoustic response and determines whether or not there is an infection characteristic of otitis media.
The colored result is displayed directly on OTICHECK:

Green = Negative Test

No ear infection.

In this case, you know that your child does not have acute purulent, serous, or seromucous otitis media.

Orange = Positive Test

Otitis media detected.

In this case, OTICHECK suspects the presence of acute purulent, serous, or seromucous otitis media. We recommend consulting a doctor for a final diagnosis. We then advise continuing to use OTICHECK and the mobile app for several months to verify that your child’s otitis media has healed properly.
